1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Scholaris ("the Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use Scholaris

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Scholaris. By using the Service you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that violates copyright, privacy or applicable law.
• Use Scholaris to plagiarize, fabricate research data, or submit AI-generated text as your original unaided work when prohibited by your institution.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the Service.
• Use the Service to generate harmful, defamatory, sexually explicit material involving minors, or content designed to harass.

5. AI output disclaimer

Scholaris uses large language models. Output can be incorrect, biased, or fabricate citations. Always verify references against the original source before submitting any academic work. Scholaris is a research assistant, not a substitute for scholarly diligence.

6. Subscriptions, credits and billing

• Subscription plans (Basic $10/mo, Premium $30/mo, Professional $65/mo) auto-renew every 30 days from the date of purchase unless cancelled.
• Credit packs ($10 = 100 messages) are one-time purchases and never expire.
• Prices are displayed in USD and charged in INR at a fixed rate of 1 USD = ₹83 via Razorpay.
• You can cancel an active subscription at any time from your profile; the plan remains active until the end of the paid cycle.

7. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy.

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the research content you upload. By using the Service you grant Scholaris a non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content solely to provide the Service to you. Scholaris owns the platform, the brand and any aggregated, anonymised analytics.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by emailing info@accelevoedutech.com.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scholaris is provided "as is". Our total liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai.
